Picked my Ruger’s up yesterday. Had a little Smithin’ done. Got both forcing cone’s opened up, and cylinder gaps cut to match each other. Thankfully Ruger’s need very little to get them ready for competition. Last year I installed Wolff hammer and trigger springs, widened the rear sights, and after talking to a top shooter this past winter, decided to get the cone’s and gaps cut to match. When using two revolvers during a competition, it’s best to try and get them to feel identical as possible (not sure if this is required of pistols). It was odd, but I could which revolver was which when I fired them. Going to clinic this week to see if this work passes muster.
