We’re the Police, and we’re here to help

While sitting in the local Diner waiting to order my Taylor Ham sandwich, I looked out the window and noticed a man going into convulsions in the crosswalk on the other side of the street.  I asked my lunch partner if she noticed any Cops in the joint cause I didn’t see any, and as I glanced out the window again, I noticed some people trying to help the guy, and one big man started flailing his arms to get the attention of an on coming cop car, on the same side of the road as he.

What did the cop car do?  Surely he musta noticed a man of at least 6′ and ample size right?  Wrong.  The Police cruiser just cruised right on byCruised right on by.  Did you catch that?  Cruised. Right. On. By.

I called the waitress, over, but at this time, the Manager was heading out, and the flailing man spotted another Police cruiser, and ran out to him to get him to stop.

If anybody actually believes the Police are actually there to help, you got a lot to learn.  Cause that could be YOU one day.

Yup, done that myself. Standing in a suit in the bad section of town (long pointless story), waved wildly to get two passing cop cars to stop. Didn’t even slow down. Realized I was, indeed, on my own and their job was just to clean up the mess afterwards.
