I wonder how soon till Paula Dow, NJ Attorney General, kicks in NJ’s Smart Gun law…….
FROM NOW ON, THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT.
To meet the request „to be on the safe side“: The new electronic armatixsystem fitted to ANSCHÜTZ hunting and target rifles
enables the use of the rifle only to the authorized person. If anybody takes the armatixsystem fitted ANSCHÜTZ rifle,
or if it gets lost, its function is automatically blocked and the firearm is rendered useless. The rifles are fitted with integrated
electronically-controlled actuators which enable an absolutely safe and reliable activation and deactivation of the rifle.
SYSTEM FOR INTELLIGENT GUN SAFETY.
The ANSCHÜTZ hunting or target rifle will only be ready to fire when it is brought within the transmission
range of the activated iW1 wristwatch. If the rifle is put down or if it is taken out of the transmission range,
it will be immediately deactivated to fire and thus is at safety automatically
IT‘S TIME FOR the iW1 wristwatch.
The intelligent iW1 wristwatch arms the ANSCHÜTZ rifle and also has the following functions:
PIN code entry and PIN code management for rifle function/activation, charge level indicator for
the watch, time-controlled rifle deactivation, extensive watch functions, waterproof,
interchangeable straps, battery for up to 5,000 rounds.
The ANSCHÜTZ target rifle with targetcontrol only functions when you are
authorised by the iW1 wristwatch and you are aiming on the target.
If you aim away from the target area the rifle will be deactivated
immediately. Therefore a misuse of your ANSCHÜTZ target rifle outside
the target area is impossible. ANSCHÜTZ target rifles with targetcontrol
facilitate safe target shooting without compromise.
The ANSCHÜTZ hunting repeater with hunting control also only
operates when you are authorized by the iW1 wristwatch. Your
ANSCHÜTZ rifle will be deactivated immediately if you aim
the rifle at your fellow hunters, beaters or hunting dogs which
have been protected by the hunting control chip. Once outside this safety range the hunting repeater will be reactivated immediately.
You can equip any number of persons, beaters or hunting dogs with hunting control chips. ANSCHÜTZ hunting repeaters with
hunting control make your hunting days a safer experience.
Hat Tip to Pizza Bob at NJ Gun Forums

I thought that the NJ “smart” gun law applied only to handguns?
muttering the the only smartguns are made by Ares
NJ laws is about handguns. I just wonder how long it would take for Paula Dow to put the screws to us regardless.
Depends on how much Christie wants to actively piss off the 2A crowd in NJ. I suspect he keeps the AG’s office on a short leash
I don’t have much faith with NJ’s 2A crowd that any kind of opposition would be formed……..
Oh, cmon, I know you read njgunforums. They will be UP IN ARMS over any percieved attack on 2A rights. UP IN ARMS!
Surely you jest……up in arms in a forum is one thing, actually doing something is another.
Apparently, your comment software strips the sarcasm tags
(I agree with your last statement).
On a more serious note, lets see what happens to Rep Madden next November. There was some serious speculation that he would have some tough going over his support of OGAM.
Chris Christie’s fight with the NJEA has made him something of a national hero on the right and his name has been mentioned as a possible presidential contender for 2012. That said, if Christie has presidential ambitions he has to run as a Republican and can’t be seen as the least bit anti-gun. So yes, his AG most likely will be on a short leash.
NJ’s pro 2nd amendment groups needs to watch Christie closely and be ready to shout as loudly as possible if he signs onto any anti-gun nonsense.
Well, one advantage of having Christie is that he oughtn’t blow off the NRA. Now, the NRA may still not want to spend resources in the Garden State, or he may decide not to care – but what starts in NJ could spread to NY and CA, and then onwards; and he may indeed be interested in a national presence. (Sen Christie would be much bettter than Sen Lautenberg frex)
