So after trigger time, comes everybody’s favorite time, clean up.
I was actually quiet surprised at how clean everything looked, cause after 15 rounds of real black, you KNOW you used real black.
I just wasn’t able to get a good photo of the chamber mouth, but I can tell you that it was not any worse then this. Maybe even looked cleaner.
But there was a little itty bitty bit of fouling in the bolt, where the gas lube meets, which might have caused the stickiness when trying to work it like a bolt action, but nothing a pipe cleaner couldn’t take care off.
And actually, clean up was the easiest step out of them all. Just warm soapy water, dry patches to wipe it down, and relubed with regular petroleum based gun oil.
Was done in about 15 mins.
So much for me talking like a big man about how I won’t own a gun that won’t run on real black, or bp sub’s.
And the final score for AK vs AR in Black is;
AK: 1 AR: 0
Looks like we’re done here…….for now.
