MAIG Expands in NJ

For the past number of weeks, MAIG has been expanding into the local level of politics in NJ, getting towns around NE (Teaneck, Fort Lee….etc) New Jersey to sign onto their resolutions as a way to either push Obama’s anti gun agenda, or try and muscle Gov Christie into some sort of action, because you know, ‘somebody has to do something’……but those little resolutions have been passing without much fanfare, reckon cause it’s in a deep blue area, and people tend to blindly follow their leaders agenda without question.  Yet, two new antigun groups on MAIG’s money nipple, one based in Morris County, and the other in Hunterdon County, have been making noise in various local town council meetings.  And I find it curious as to why this is…..but a comment on NJ2AS Facebook sort of puts things into perspective;

They’re trying to sell gun-control to the masses, if they stuck with places where gun crime is an actual issue (Camden, Jersey City, Trenton) it wouldn’t play well, so they are trying to equate EVERY small town with Newtown. I told my mayor and city council this at the meeting that Brian Swingle and I attended. The other reason is that they know more people in rural areas are inclined to support the 2A so they want to win over those “on the fence” in rural America, lastly, Hunterdon is one of only 4 (could be 3 don’t remember) counties in NJ that voted overwhelmingly Republican in the last election so it’s a way to get out the lefts base in Republican districts.
